South Dakota State routs Denver 69-39

BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP) George Marshall scored 20 points on 7-of-10 shooting to lead South Dakota State in a 69-39 rout of Denver on Saturday.

Deondre Parks finished with 13 points and Cody Larson chipped in 12 for the Jackrabbits (17-7, 8-2 Summit), who shot 59.5 percent from the floor.

The score was tied at 13 midway through the first half but South Dakota State pulled away by the break, leading by nine. Parks made back-to-back layups, a free throw, and another layup to give the Jackrabbits a 14-point lead with 17:48 to play.

Daniel Amigo made a layup and two free throws with 7:06 remaining for the Pioneers, who trailed by 15 points. Denver (9-13, 3-6) didn't score again, missing its next nine shots and turning the ball over twice in the final minutes.

Amigo scored 14 points, the only Denver player to finish in double figures.
