Sources: Arkansas fires coach Pelphrey

Arkansas has fired John Pelphrey.
Multiple sources told FOXSports.com that Pelphrey was informed of the decision on Sunday by athletic director Jeff Long.
Now expect the Razorbacks to target former Arkansas assistant and current Missouri head coach Mike Anderson.
Anderson, according to a source, received Nolan Richardson's blessing to take the job if he wants it.
Pelphrey spent the past four seasons in Fayetteville and went to the NCAA tournament in his first season.
However, the fan base had recently become impatient – and a recent report in which Pelphrey was caught posing for a photo with two high school juniors – an NCAA violation – didn’t help matters.
Pelphrey leaves with a 65-59 overall record, but had put together one of the nation’s top recruiting classes, one that was initially expected to give him another year in Fayetteville.
