Ryan Rossiter had 18 points and 17 rebounds to lead Siena to a 73-60 win over Rider on Friday night in the first conference game of the 2010-11 college basketball season.

Siena (2-3, 1-0 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) used a 20-1 run to turn a 47-44 deficit with 14:11 left into a 64-48 lead with 7:07 to play.

Rossiter, who has had at least 16 points and 16 boards in three straight games, was 7 of 15 from the field. Clarence Jackson added 15 points and Rakeem Brookins 11 for the Saints.

Siena is trying to become the first team to win a fourth straight MAAC regular-season title and the first to win four MAAC tournament titles in a row.

The Saints have now won 36 of their last 39 conference regular-season games.

Brandon Penn scored 14 points to lead the Broncs (4-2, 0-1), who shot 15 of 30 from the field in the first half, but only 8 of 30 in the second.
