SC-Upstate 73, UNC Asheville 71

Torrey Craig scored 27 points and Ty Greene made two of four free throws in the final 7 seconds as South Carolina-Upstate overcame a 16-point, second-half deficit to edge UNC Asheville 73-71 Thursday night.
The Spartans (3-4) trailed 71-69 when Ricardo Glenn's tip shot tied it with 8 seconds left. He missed the ensuing free throw, and Greene, who was fouled a second later, hit the second of two free throws to give the Spartans their first lead of the game. Greene made his second foul shot with 3 seconds left to finish with 16 points.
The Bulldogs' Keith Hornsby missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer.
South Carolina-Upstate shot 59.5 percent after the break (22 of 37), making up for a 49-33 deficit with 13:14 left. UNC Asheville made only 13 of 25 second-half field goals.
Trent Meyer's 23 points led the Bulldogs (1-6), who have dropped six straight.
