Jamaal Franklin scored 19 points, including nine straight during a 13-0 second-half run, as San Diego State defeated Elon 81-55 on Thursday.
The Aztecs (11-2) led 37-33 early in the second half when Franklin & Co. took over. Chase Tapley started the run with a layup and Franklin followed with an inside basket off his own miss, a 3-pointer and two more jumpers. Garrett Green closed it out with a layup that put San Diego State ahead 50-33 with 14:27 left.
Tapley finished with 14 points, while Green and Alec Williams had 10 each for the Aztecs, who shot 56 percent from the field. San Diego State has won four straight games and eight of its last nine.
Austin Hamilton and Jack Isenbarger scored 10 points apiece for Elon (7-4).
