Saint Joseph's pulls away from Loyola (Md), 68-42

PHILADELPHIA (AP) DeAndre Bembry finished with a game high 21 points on 8 of 11 shooting to lead Saint Joseph's to a 68-42 victory over Loyola (MD) on Tuesday night.

Bembry also added a team leading seven rebounds for the Hawks (5-4), and Chris Wilson had 13 points and a team high four assists.

Saint Joseph's defense was stout all evening, holding Loyola to just 28.3 percent shooting from the field and 2 of 16 from 3-point range. They also held an 11-2 advantage in team assists and won the rebounding battle 38-32.

Cam Gregory scored 14 points and grabbed eight boards to lead the Greyhounds (3-6), while Andre Walker added 12 points.

They game was tight in the first half, with the Hawks taking a 28-24 lead at halftime. However Saint Joseph's would explode in the second, outscoring Loyola 40-18 including an 18-4 run to start.
