Saddler, Delaware beat Northeastern 80-67

NEWARK, Del. (AP) Devon Saddler scored 21 points and became Delaware's all-time leading scorer as the Blue Hens remained perfect in conference play, beating Northeastern 80-67 on Monday.

Saddler needed 20 to tie the record held by Mike Pegues at 2,030. Saddler broke the record on a free throw with 4:04 remaining and was immediately subbed out to a standing ovation from the home crowd. He was 7 of 19 from the field, made three 3-pointers, 4 of 4 free throws and had eight assists.

It was Delaware's 11 consecutive win, its longest streak since a 13-game run during the 1998-99 season.

Davon Usher scored 25 points for Delaware (17-7, 9-0 Colonial Athletic Association). The Blue Hens will host College of Charleston on Wednesday, their third game in five days.

Northeastern (7-16, 4-5) was paced by Scott Eatherton, who scored 21. David Walker had 12.
