Shane Gibson scored a career-high 34 points to lead Sacred Heart past Wagner 79-76 on Saturday night, snapping a three-game losing streak.

Gibson finished 12 of 15 from the floor (80 percent) for the Pioneers (8-11, 3-5 Northeast Conference), who despite shooting 37.5 percent in the opening half (9 of 24), held a 36-30 lead at halftime.

Sacred Heart led 70-63 with 3:53 left to play before Tyler Murray's 3-pointer with 46 seconds to go capped a 13-4 run and gave the Seahawks (9-10, 5-3) a 76-74 lead.

Gibson answered with a 3-point play, giving the Pioneers a 77-76 lead with 39 seconds on the clock. Wagner missed its final three shots from the floor to seal the win for Sacred Heart.

Chris Martin led the Seahawks with 21 points. Latif Rivers added 19, Murray 13 and Orlando Parker 10.

Jerrell Thompson scored 13, Stan Dulaire had 12 and Chris Evans 10 for the Pioneers.
