Sacred Heart 66, Fairleigh Dickinson 57

Shane Gibson and Louis Montes came off the bench to score 16 points apiece and lead Sacred Heart to a 66-57 win over Fairleigh Dickinson Saturday in Northeast Conference action.

They gave Sacred Heart (11-14, 5-7) a 32-15 advantage in bench scoring. For FDU (2-21, 1-11) it was the third straight loss and 17th in its past 18 games.

Leading 30-27 at halftime, Sacred Heart opened with a 7-0 run. The Pioneers led by as many as 16 points in the second half and were never headed.

Gibson hit two 3-pointers and Montes added a third for half of Sacred Heart's six treys. The Pioneers, who got seven points and 12 rebounds from Stan Dulaire, shot 25 for 54 from the floor (46.3 percent). FDU went 22 for 56 (39.3 percent).

George Goode scored 19 points for the Knights, Briahn Smith adding 14.

Justin Swidowski scored 10 for Sacred Heart.
