Sultan Toles-Bey scored 21 points and Sacramento State beat Bethany, Calif. Tuesday night.
The Hornets (1-1) scored 23 points off turnovers and shot 58.8 percent from the field to the Bruins' (0-5) 41.4 percent.
Toles-Bey also had two assists, pulled down three rebounds and made all six of his free throws.
Duro Bjegovic added 12 points, eight rebounds and two assists.

Pete Rakocevic had 12 points, four rebounds and Jackson Carbajal had 11 points and six rebounds.
Travis Derochowski led the Bruins with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Brett Hoisington and Micah Jones each added 11 points.
Sacramento State entered the second half with a 21-point margin, leading 42-21. The Hornets' largest margin, 32 points, came with 3:24 left in the game.
