Nate Wolters scored 16 points and South Dakota State pulled away from Mercer late in a 74-61 victory Wednesday night, snapping the Bears' three-game winning streak.

The Jackrabbits (4-2) rallied from an eight-point first-half deficit and built a 55-49 cushion with 8:58 to play in the Progressive CBE Classic.

Langston Hall scored five of Mercer's next seven points to pull ahead 56-55, but the lead was short-lived.

South Dakota State answered with a 10-point run, capped by Tony Fiegen's layup with 1:53 to go.

Griffan Callahan added 13 points and Chad White had 11 for the Jackrabbits, who shot 24 of 53 from the floor (45.3 percent) and forced 23 turnovers while giving up the ball only 13 times.

Justin Cecil had 15 points to pace the Bears (4-2) and Hall chipped in 12.

The Bears, who made 19 of 48 field goals (39.6 percent) had a 35-30 rebounding advantage.
