Rowe leads Tennessee State over Jackson State 86-82

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Torrance Rowe scored a career-high 35 points, including nine in overtime, leading Tennessee Tech to an 86-82 win over Jackson State Tuesday night.

Rowe's layup with one second left in regulation tied the game at 71-all.

In overtime, Rowe scored all nine Golden Eagles points in the final 1:04. His 3-pointer pushed the Tennessee Tech (2-2) lead to five, and he made 6 of 6 free throw attempts to put the game away. He finished 9 of 18 from the field and 15 of 17 on free throws.

Raeform Worsham's layup for Jackson State (1-4) gave the Tigers a 71-69 lead with 5 seconds left. Worsham had 15 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, including eight offensive. Paris Collins had 21 points and Chace Franklin 16.

Jackson State outrebounded Tennessee Tech 56-40, but the Golden Eagles dominated at the free-throw line, making 37 of 45 attempts compared to just 6 of 15 for the Tigers.
