Rider 88, Manhattan 59

Brandon Penn scored 26 points and pulled down nine rebounds to lead Rider to a blowout win over Manhattan 88-59 in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action on Thursday night.
With the score tied 27-27 at the 8:03 mark of the opening half, the Broncs (5-3, 1-1) scored 12 straight and ended the half on an 18-2 run. Rider led 45-29 at halftime thanks in large part to 12 first-half turnovers by the Jaspers (2-5, 0-1), resulting in 15 points for the Broncs.
Justin Robinson nailed a 3 at the 16:49 mark of the second to extend Rider's lead to 60-32.
Manhattan countered with a 15-1 run over the next 4:39 to pull within 61-47, but that was as close as the Jaspers would get.
The Broncs shot 33 of 54 from the floor (61.1 percent), including 10 of 19 from behind the arc (52.6 percent).
George Beamon scored 16 and Robert Martina added 14 for the Jaspers.
