Richmond 78, UNC-Greensboro 58

Darien Brothers scored a game-high 20 points and Richmond went on a 15-0 run in the second half to beat North Carolina-Greensboro 78-58 Friday in nonconference play.
The Spiders (9-6) got 17 points from Kendall Anthony off the bench, while 12 of Brothers' points came on four 3-pointers. Richmond led UNC Greensboro in virtually every category - field goal percentage, 3-point percentage, points in the paint and off turnovers, and also bench scoring. Yet the Spartans (2-12) trailed just 38-30 at halftime, then opened the second half on a 12-0 run. Nick Paulos, who led UNC Greensboro with 12 points on three 3-pointers, stuck a trey for a 42-38 lead.
Richmond then reasserted itself. Greg Robbins broke a 55-55 tie with a 3-pointer with 7:50 remaining. That started the decisive 15-0 run.
Besides Paulos, Trevis Simpson was the only other Spartan in double figures with 11 points.
