Arsalan Kazemi scored 19 points and added 12 rebounds to lead Rice to a 66-63 victory over Stetson at the Las Vegas Holiday Hoops Classic on Tuesday.
Rice (6-4) led by as many as 10 points in the second half before the Hatters (3-7) narrowed the Owls' lead to 63-61 on Tyshawn Patterson's 3-pointer with 34 seconds left.
Tamir Jackson then made three free throws over the final 32 seconds to help Rice secure the win.
Trey Stanton scored 11 points and Jackson had 10 for the Owls.

Corey Walden led Stetson with 15 points.
