Akeem Richmond led three players in doubles figures with 18 points and Rhode Island beat Toledo 75-66 on Saturday night in the 2K Sports Classic.

Delroy James added 16 points and 10 rebounds, and Will Martel had 10 points and 10 rebounds for their second straight double-doubles.

Richmond made 7 of 13 field goal attempts for the Rams, who shot 45.5 percent (25 for 55) from the field.

Rhode Island (3-1) has won three games in a row since losing the season opener to Pitt. The Rams scored 27 points off 18 Toledo turnovers.

The Rams led 41-25 at halftime and built their biggest lead at 52-28 on a layup by Martel with 17:01 to play. Toledo trailed 58-37 and went on a 16-5 run to cut the lead to 63-53 with 5:38 to play, but could get no closer.

Zach Leahy led Toledo (0-4) with 17 points, Delino Dear added 12 and Reese Holliday had 11.
