Report: Hoopster hit by coach arrested

Matt Kravchuk, the former Holy Family University basketball player who gained national attention after his coach knocked him to the floor during a practice in January, was arrested Wednesday night while attending a Phillies' game, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported Thursday.
Kravchuk,19, was charged with retail theft after he allegedly stole two alcoholic beverages from a concession stand inside Citizens Bank Park where the Phillies were taking on the Mets.
WTXF-TV tracked Kravchuk down after he was released from custody Thursday morning.
"I'm just in college, I don't know why people care about my life," Kravchuk said when asked if he cared to comment on the incident.
"You pretty much know why," the station's photographer responded. "Do you think you owe the Phillies an apology?"
"You guys owe me an apology, stay out of my life," Kravchuk, sporting a Phillies' T-shirt, said as he walked away.
Kravchuk gained national attention in February after video surfaced showing former Holy Family basketball coach John O'Connor not only knocking the sophomore to the hardwood, but also kicking him while he was laying on the court.
"Got a little (expletive) blood on you? Good!" O'Connor is heard yelling before eventually kicking Kravchuk out of practice.
O'Connor, 52, claimed the on-court incident was an accident while appearing on ABC's "Good Morning America" with Kravchuk by his side. Kravchuk, who planned to sue O'Connor, was reluctant to accept the on-air apology.
According to The Inquirer, the district attorney's office later ruled the incident was not a prosecutable offense.
O'Connor resigned his post in February.
