Report: Daniel Ochefu's status vs. Providence uncertain

Villanova had no issues playing without starting center Daniel Ochefu against a bigger Creighton team on Wednesday night.
The Wildcats rolled past the Bluejays, 83-58, winning their second straight game without Ochefu in the lineup. The 6-foot-11 center missed the past two games after suffering a concussion in practice last week.
According to Terry Toohey of the Delaware County Daily Times, Villanova head coach Jay Wright said after the win that Ochefu's status is uncertain for the team's game against Providence on Saturday afternoon.
Ochefu’s status for Saturday’s game at Providence remains up in the air. He continues to go through the concussion protocol, Wright said. However, if there are any symptoms he has to start the protocol all over again.
Ochefu is averaging 9.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.9 blocks per game. Darry Reynolds, the only other player taller than 6-foot-7 on the roster, has started in place of Ochefu.
The Friars enter the second meeting of the season with questions about their own big man. Ben Bentil, the sophomore forward leading the Big East in scoring, is listed as day-to-day after suffering a right ankle injury in Tuesday night's loss at DePaul.
No. 11 Providence hosts No. 3 Villanova on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. on FS1.
UPDATE: The team announced on Friday morning that Ochefu is listed as doubtful for Saturday.
