Alabama has added Minnesota head coach Richard Pitino to its list of coaching candidates, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Pitino joins Wichita State head coach Gregg Marshall, who remains the Crimson Tide's top choice, according to multiple reports. Alabama athletic director Bill Battle reportedly met with Marshall earlier this week to discuss the position.
As for Pitino, his Golden Gophers finished 18-15 (6-12 in the Big Ten) this season, missing both the NCAA Tournament and the NIT. He was hired by the program prior to the 2013-14 season and is under contract for four more years.
