Radford beats Presbyterian 62-56, stays tied atop Big South

CLINTON, S.C. (AP) Javonte Green had 15 points with seven rebounds on Saturday night, and Radford beat Presbyterian 62-56 to stay tied with High Point and Charleston Southern for first in the Big South Conference.

The Highlanders (19-8, 10-4) trailed 33-26 at halftime but erased the deficit to lead 39-38 within the first six minutes of the second half. They later used a 9-2 run to take a 49-45 lead with 10:06 left that they would not relinquish.

Ya Ya Anderson added a pair of 3-pointers and finished with 14 points for Radford, which had nine steals in the second half leading to 13 Presbyterian turnovers.

DeSean Murray had 20 points, 11 rebounds and three steals to lead Presbyterian (9-18, 5-9). Murray scored 12 of his points in the first half and the Blue Hose went on a 9-2 run to close the period up by seven. Markus Terry added 13 points.
