Princeton edges Tulsa 82-78 in double overtime

Douglas Davis hit a jumper in the lane with 14 seconds left in double overtime to give Princeton the lead and the Tigers held on for an 82-78 victory over Tulsa on Sunday.

Kareem Maddox scored a season-high 31 points, including two free throws with 1 second left, for the Tigers (7-3), who won their fifth straight.

Justin Hurtt scored 25 points for the Golden Hurricane (4-5), who have lost three in a row.

Maddox hit a key floater late in regulation and his driving basket gave Princeton a 77-76 advantage with 34 seconds left.

Hurtt then hit two free throws to give Tulsa a 78-77 lead, setting up Davis' game-winner. Davis missed 10-of-13 shots but made the one that mattered most.

Ian Hummer had 17 points and Dan Mavraides added 16 for the Tigers.
