Chase Holmes scored 20 points and Jake Troyli had 16 points and 13 rebounds as Presbyterian defeated Virginia Military Institute 89-75 on Saturday night after dominating in overtime.

Troyli scored seven points in overtime after the Blue Hose (3-15, 1-5 Big South) came back from a 40-25 halftime deficit for a tie at 69.

Holmes' layup put Presbyterian ahead, 69-67, with 5 seconds left in regulation, but Stan Okoye's runner for the Keydets (4-9, 1-4) tied it with 1 second left.

Presbyterian outshot Virginia Military 56.3 percent (18-for-32) to 35.7 percent (10-for-28) in the second half.

Troyli and Walt Allen, who had 11 points and 10 rebounds, had their first career double-doubles for Presbyterian.

Austin Kenon scored 21 points for VMI, and Ron Burks had 19 points and 11 rebounds.
