The Texas-UCLA basketball game at the Los Angeles Sports Arena was delayed for nearly 13 1/2 minutes after a power surge cut the lights.
Texas' Alexis Wangmene was at the free throw line with 3:59 to go in the first half when the lights went out at the aging arena where the Bruins are playing their home games this season while Pauley Pavilion undergoes a major renovation.
After a couple minutes, some of the overhead lights came back on, with the arena announcer blaming a power surge for the outage.
While the old-style lights re-powered, the teams shot free throws and the UCLA band played Kanye West's hit, ''All of the Lights.''
