Portland State beats Idaho 85-73

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) Braxton Tucker and DaShaun Wiggins had 19 points each on Saturday night, and Portland State pulled away late to beat Idaho 85-73.

Portland State (9-7, 3-3 Big Sky) used an 8-2 run to take a 76-64 lead with 3:14 left and made 6 of 6 free throws in the final 1:02 to seal the win.

Idaho (7-9, 2-3) erased most of an 11-point first half deficit to get within 53-51 on Sekou Wiggs layup with 13:22 left, but Portland State ran off five straight to start a 13-3 run, going ahead 66-54.

Gary Winston had 14 points, seven assists and five boards for the Vikings and Tiegbe Bamba scored 12.

Mike Scott had nine of his 15 points for Idaho in the second half and nearly completed a triple-double with 10 assists and eight rebounds. Wiggs added 12 points and Bira Seck scored 10.
