Piepoli helps Montana State beat Idaho State 63-60

Danny Piepoli scored 13 of his season-high 16 points in the second half, making 5 of 8 from beyond the 3-point arc on the night, as Montana State held off Idaho State 63-60 on Friday night.
Piepoli hit a 3-pointer with 4:21 to play to give the Bobcats (12-10, 7-4 Big Sky) a 51-50 lead and another at 2:58 to break a 56-56 tie. After Branden Johnson made two free throws with 21.6 seconds remaining to put the Bobcats ahead 63-60, Donnie Carson's contested 3-pointer from the left wing rimmed around and out as time expired.
The Bengals (6-16, 3-7) got 24 points from Broderick Gilchrest, 15 from Carson and 13 from Austin Kilpatrick.
Bobby Howard had 11 points and Johnson 10 for Montana State, which won despite making only 9 of 18 free throws and getting outrebounded 36-22. The Bobcats made 10 of 24 shots from 3-point range.
