COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Curtis Phillips Jr., scored 17 points with 10 rebounds and made the game-winning shot at the buzzer to lift Tennessee Tech to a 69-67 Ohio Valley Conference opening win against Morehead State Thursday night.

Phillips grabbed the offensive rebound when Kajon Mack missed a short-shot attempt near the rim with three seconds left. A.J. Hicks's layup with 32 seconds remaining tied it at 67.
