Juan Pattillo scored 31 points on 13-of-18 shooting and Western Kentucky beat Xavier, La. 84-69 in an exhibition game Thursday night.
Freshman Brandon Peters had eight assists and seven steals in 28 minutes for the Hilltoppers, who forced 26 turnovers and committed just seven. In two exhibition games, Western Kentucky committed 18 turnovers.
Cliff Dixon scored 10 points and grabbed seven rebounds for the Hilltoppers, and Steffphon Pettigrew was 5 for 10 from the field and had 16 points. The Hilltoppers led 34-25 at halftime and scored 50 points in the second half.
Devin Andrew led Division II Xavier with 10 points and seven rebounds.
