Pacific holds off Nevada 69-65

STOCKTON, Calif. (AP) T.J. Wallace scored 16 points and Pacific held off Nevada's comeback bid to win 69-65 on Thursday.

Trailing 35-17 at the break, Nevada (2-8) came storming back in the second, outscoring Pacific 35-17 to tie it at 52 with 6:12 left. But moments later Pacific's Alec Kobre nailed a 3-pointer for a six-point lead and the Tigers made six straight free throws inside 1:18 to hold on.

Pacific (7-4) led 14-11 midway through the first half but closed the frame on a 21-4 run - including seven points from Wallace - for an 18-point halftime advantage. Nevada missed 7 of its last 8 shots before intermission.

Dulani Robinson had 12 points, including 7 of 10 free throws, and Kobre finished with 10 points.

Nevada was led by D.J. Fenner with 24 points. Tyron Criswell had 12 points and Marqueze Coleman added 10.
