Ohio State star Jared Sullinger missed Saturday's game against No. 13 Kansas because of a bad back.
Sullinger tried to get it stretched out before the game, but he did not appear along with the rest of his team during the shoot-around. He finally emerged from the tunnel with about 30 minutes left before the tipoff wearing jeans and a sweater.
Sullinger also missed the second-ranked Buckeyes' game against Texas Pan-American last Saturday.
Not only does Sullinger average better than 19 points and 10 rebounds, he also would have been tasked with guarding Thomas Robinson, the Jayhawks' own All-American candidate.

That job instead fell to Evan Ravenel, a junior who transferred in from Boston College.
