Louis Ellis scored 17 points, making 4 of 5 from 3-point range, and Northwestern State defeated Texas A&M-Corpus Christi 82-68 on Saturday.
The Demons (14-9, 7-2 Southland Conference) shot 47.6 percent from long range (10 of 21), in winning their fifth straight.
Shamir Davis added 15 points and James Hulbin had 12 of his 14 in the first half for the Demons.
Northwestern State led 42-35 late in the first half, before scoring 11 straight in a stretch that spanned intermission. Gary Roberson capped the spurt with five straight points for a 53-35 advantage with 16:51 to play.
William Mosley, who finished with four blocks, moved into 12th place on the NCAA all-time list with 430. He passed Calvin Booth (Penn State, 1999), who had 428 career blocks.
The Islanders (4-18, 3-7) were led by Terrence Jones and Chris Hawkins-Mast with 21 points each.
