Northeastern crushes James Madison 82-59

BOSTON (AP) T.J. Williams scored 17 points and Northeastern beat James Madison 82-59 on Thursday.

Northeastern (14-6, 6-1 Colonial) shot 52.5 percent from the floor, including 9 of 17 beyond the arc. Williams was 2 of 3 on 3-pointers, while David Walker was 3 of 6 and ended with 15 points. Reggie Spencer added 13 off the bench on 5-of-6 shooting.

James Madison (11-9, 4-3 Colonial) was paced by Ron Curry's 21 points - including 5 of 5 on 3-pointers - and Yohanny Dalembert added 10.

The Huskies jumped out to a 25-6 lead over the first 10 minutes. Quincy Ford had five points in the run as JMU made just three of its first 11 shots with three turnovers. The Huskies led 49-32 at the break.

It was more of the same in the second half, as a 7-0 spurt pushed Northeastern's lead to 28 with 9:20 left in the game.
