Andres Diaz scored 23 points and pulled down 11 rebounds to lead North Florida to a 76-60 victory over Wyoming in a first-round game in the Cancun Challenge on Thursday.

Diaz, along with Parker Smith and Charles McRoy off the bench, keyed a 26-8 run in the final 12 minutes for the Ospreys (1-2).

Although the game was tied seven times, North Florida never had the lead until McRoy hit a follow shot with 11:41 left to make it 53-52.

Wyoming (1-2), which had only one field goal in the final 14 minutes, was without two of its top players when sophomore guard Desmar Jackson and junior forward Afam Muojeke were suspended earlier Thursday for violating team rules.

JayDee Luster led the Cowboys with 13 points.
