Parker Smith scored 16 points, going 5-for-5 from 3-point range, to lead North Florida in a 69-60 win over Jackson State on Friday night.

Travis Wallace and Jimmy Williams added 11 points apiece for the Ospreys (3-4), who used a 6-for-13 (46.2 percent) performance from beyond the arc to seal the victory. The Tigers were just 2 for 10 (20 percent) from long range.

Jerron Granberry hit a 3 to start the game, North Florida extended its game-opening run to 7-0 and led most of the way until a late rally by Jackson State.

Kelsey Howard's jumper with 4:24 remaining capped the comeback for the Tigers (1-6), who pulled ahead 56-54. It would be a short-lived lead for Jackson State, as Wallace converted a three-point play on North Florida's next possession and the Ospreys led the rest of the way.
