North Carolina Central dominates Savannah State 58-40

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) Nimrod Hilliard had 17 points to lead North Carolina Central to a dominating 58-40 win over Savannah State on Monday night as the Eagles won their 29th straight at home.
Jordan Parks had 13 points and Anthony McDonald made 4 of 5 from beyond the arc to total 12 for North Carolina Central (12-5, 4-0 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference). Karamo Jawara had five assists, three steals and three blocks.
The Eagles jumped out to an early lead and held a 27-16 advantage at the break. McDonald hit two straight 3-pointers to give NCCU a 44-28 lead at the midway point of the second half and the Eagles coasted to the win.
NCCU made 23 of 45 attempts from the floor (51.1 percent) while limiting Savannah State to 17-of-48 shooting (35.4 percent).
