North Carolina Central defeats Howard 79-65

WASHINGTON (AP) Jeremy Ingram scored 16 points to lead North Carolina Central to its seventh straight win by defeating Howard 79-65 Saturday.

Ingram shot 5 of 8 from the field and made both 3-point attempts. Reggie Groves was 4 of 7 from beyond the arc and finished with 15 points. Jordan Parks scored 14 points on 5-for-5 shooting from the floor. Alfonzo Houston added 11 points.

North Carolina Central (15-5, 6-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) picks up the road win after going 7-1 in January. The Eagles play five of their next seven games on the road. North Carolina Central has a 19-game home winning streak, and are 31-5 at home dating back to March 3, 2011.

Prince Okoroh and James Daniel each scored 13 points to lead Howard (5-17, 3-4). Keon Hill added 10 points for the Bison.
