Tennessee coach Bruce Pearl wanted the 23rd-ranked Volunteers to start learning immediately from their exhibition loss to Division II Indianapolis.
Pearl had his players return to the film room at 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday to watch tape of their 79-64 loss to the Greyhounds on Monday night.
The Vols struggled against Indianapolis' full-court pressure defense, one that's been a trademark of many Pearl-coached teams. They also failed to dominate the post game, despite being much larger than the Greyhounds.
Pearl says he's disappointed in how he coached and disappointed in the team's lack of effort and energy.
