Juan'ya Green scored 25 points and Marvin Jordan added 20 points to help Niagara hold off winless Hartford 79-76 on Saturday night.

Jordan also had seven assists and six steals for the Purples Eagles (4-6), who built a 17-point lead early in the second half. Antoine Mason finished with 14 points and six rebounds, but had six turnovers.

Niagara took 49-32 lead - its largest in the game - when Jordan made a 3-pointer with 14:56 left in the second half. However, the Purple Eagles had a tough time holding off Hartford, which rallied and cut Niagara's lead to three points on a free throw by Nate Sikma with 33 seconds left.

But the Hawks (0-10) pulled no closer. The Purple Eagles pushed their lead to eight points after Jordan made two free throws and Ameen Tanksley knocked down three from the line.

Wes Cole led Hartford with 26 points.
