Wendell McKines had 20 points and a career-high 16 rebounds to lead New Mexico State past Southern 91-66 Monday.

New Mexico State (7-4) never trailed. The Aggies led by eight at halftime and pushed the lead to as many as 29 with 1:15 left.

Senior center Hamidu Rahman scored 16 points and hauled in nine rebounds, senior guard Hernst Laroche scored 14 points and freshman guard Daniel Mullings posted a career-best 14 points as the Aggies were 51.7 percent from the field and scored 40 points in the paint.

Mike Celestin and Madut Bol led Southern (3-9) with 12 points apiece and Cameron Monroe chipped in with 11 as Southern finished the game 35.4 percent from the floor and 7 of 18 from 3-point range.
