New Mexico St. 81, Ark.-Pine Bluff 65

Wendell McKines led New Mexico State with 22 points, 14 rebounds and four assists in an 81-65 victory on Saturday over Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
New Mexico State (9-5) also had 15 points, seven rebounds and four assists from senior guard Hernst Laroche, and Hamidu Rahman and Bandja Sy added 13 points apiece.
Mitchell Anderson led Arkansas-Pine Bluff (1-12) with 20 points.
The Aggies pushed a 13-point halftime lead to 17 with 15:22 to play. Arkansas-Pine Bluff closed to 66-59 when Clay Johnson hit two free throws with 6:07 remaining.
The Aggies answered with a 10-2 run to go up 76-61 with 2:19 to play, sealing the victory.
New Mexico State finished 7 of 16 from 3-point range and shot 48.1 percent from the floor. The Aggies led by as many as 14 in the first half despite Arkansas-Pine Bluff shooting 55.2 percent from the floor.
