New Mexico 85, Colorado St. 52

Drew Gordon had 13 points and 14 rebounds and New Mexico clamped down defensively Wednesday night to defeat Colorado State 85-52.

Gordon, who posted his 11th game with double figures in points and rebounds, also contributed three assists, three blocks and two steals to help the Lobos (16-4, 2-2 Mountain West) recover from losses to conference rivals No. 13 San Diego State and No. 12 UNLV.

Will Bell, Wes Elkmeier and Dorian Green each scored 11 points for the Rams (13-6, 2-2).

New Mexico, which never trailed, shot 19 for 33 in the first half in building a 47-29 lead.

Already up 26-17 with nine minutes left in the first half, the Lobos went on a 19-4 run that featured points from seven players.

The Rams turned it over 20 times and shot just 16 for 43 (37 percent) from the field.
