LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) The NCAA says that Louisville freshman forward Shaqquan Aaron can begin playing for the fourth-ranked Cardinals on Dec. 20 after sitting out nine games for receiving housing-related extra benefits.

Aaron has missed seven games but practiced for Louisville while his amateurism was being determined by the sanctioning body. The school announced in a statement before Tuesday night's game against Indiana in New York that Aaron must miss 30 percent of the season and have repayment and community service as terms of his reinstatement.

The 6-foot-7 Seattle native is eligible to return for Louisville's game at Western Kentucky next week after sitting out games against the Hoosiers and Sunday against North Carolina-Wilmington.
