Taylor Braun scored 30 points on 9-of-11 shooting, helping hot-shooting North Dakota State withstand another IUPUI comeback en route to an 84-79 victory Saturday.
TrayVonn Wright had 16 points, 12 rebounds and four blocked shots for the Bison (7-1, 1-1 Summit), who shot a combined 62 percent (28 of 45) from the field, including 54 percent (6 of 11) on 3-pointers. Mike Felt added 11 points.
Alex Young scored 20 points and Sean Esposito had 14 for the Jaguars (2-7, 0-2), who were coming off a tough 97-93 overtime loss Thursday to South Dakota State. IUPUI rallied from an 18-point second-half deficit in that game to force overtime.
In this one, the Jaguars trailed 45-31 at halftime and were down 66-49 after a Marshall Bjorklund dunk with 7:44 to play. They rallied again and got within four, 83-79, in the final minute, but ran out of time.
