Mount St. Mary's gets by LIU Brooklyn 95-92

EMMITSBURG, Md. (AP) Sam Prescott hit a game-winning 3-pointer with 0.3 seconds remaining to give Mount St. Mary's a 95-92 victory over LIU Brooklyn Saturday afternoon.

LIU Brooklyn's Iverson Fleming made a half-court shot but it was ruled to have come after the buzzer sounded. LIU-Brooklyn's E.J. Reed banked in a 3-pointer with 9 seconds left to tie the score at 92.

Mount St. Mary's (9-12, 5-3 Northeast Conference) held a slim lead throughout the second period until Landon Atterberry made a three-point play to tie the score at 77 with 3:47 remaining. Julian Norfleet, who had 24 points, made two free throws and Taylor Danaher followed with a dunk, a layup and a free throw as Mount St. Mary's extended the lead to 84-79 with 2:01 remaining.

Rashad Whack led Mount St. Mary's with 26 points. E.J. Reed had 24 for LIU Brooklyn (7-14, 2-6).
