Moore leads The Citadel rally, 69-66 over Wofford

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) Ashton Moore scored 29 points Thursday night and led The Citadel from a 14-point deficit to hand Wofford its first conference loss of the season 69-66.

Moore gave the Bulldogs (8-9, 3-3 Southern Conference) their first lead of the game at 67-66 when he grabbed a long rebound off his own missed 3-pointer and drove for a layup with 1:22 left.

The Citadel trailed 43-29 early in the second half and Moore sparked the rally with 21 points in the period. Moore finished 6 of 10 from 3-point range and Quinton Marshall added 11 points.

Wofford (13-5, 4-1) had a chance hold for the final shot down by one, but Moore stole the ball from Karl Cochran in the backcourt and Marshall Harris III added a pair of free throws with 2.3 seconds left for the Bulldogs.

Cochran finished 7 of 14 from 3-point range and scored 23.
