Kyle Weems grabbed his third double-double of the season, scoring 17 points and pulling down 10 rebounds, in Missouri State's 65-50 victory over Evansville on Friday night.

After leading just 29-28 at halftime, the Bears (12-3, 4-0 Missouri Valley) rallied to score the first nine points of the second half and eventually went up by 18 on the way to their sixth straight win.

Nathan Scheer added 14 points for the Bears while Jermaine Mallett scored 11.

Ned Cox led the Purple Aces (7-7, 1-3) with 10 points.

Evansville kept it close and even led briefly in the first half on 54.2 percent shooting from the field. But the Purple Aces dropped off after intermission, hitting just 36 percent of their tries.

The Bears, meanwhile, shot 46.2 percent from the field in the second half and 50 percent overall.
