Miami rolls past Barry in exhibition

DeQuan Jones and Rion Brown each scored 16 points and Miami easily beat Barry 102-33 in an exhibition game Wednesday night.
Malcolm Grant scored 15 points, Reggie Johnson added 13 on 5-for-5 shooting and Donnavan Kirk finished with 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Hurricanes, who open the regular season against Jacksonville on Nov. 12.
The Hurricanes shot 55 percent for the game, connecting on 15 of 30 3-point attempts and outrebounded Barry - a Division II school from the Miami suburb of Miami Shores - 52-20.
Willie Whitfield led Barry with eight points. The Buccaneers shot 21 percent for the game, including 4 for 26 in the second half.
