Julian Mavunga scored on a layup with 2 seconds left to send Miami (Ohio) to a come-from-behind 68-66 victory over Toledo on Saturday night.
Mavunga's layup was the last of nine straight points for the RedHawks (13-12, 8-3 Mid-American Conference), who trailed 66-59 with 3:07 left.
Nick Winbush, who finished with 16 points, started the comeback with a 3-pointer to cut the deficit to 66-62 with 2:49 to play. Allen Roberts followed with consecutive layups to tie the score at 66 with 47 seconds left.
Toledo's Malcolm Griffin turned the ball over, and after Roberts missed a jumper, Mavunga, who had 13 points, hit the game-winner.
Roberts scored 14 and Josh Sewell added 10 points for Miami, which has won four straight.
Griffin scored 20, Justin Anyijong had 15 and Reese Holliday added 14 points for Toledo (4-21, 1-10), which has lost seven consecutive games.
