Mercer runs away from Hiwassee College, 82-47

MACON, Ga. (AP) Jestin Lewis scored 17 points on 6 of 10 shooting to help lead Mercer to an 82-47 victory over NCCAA Hiwassee College on Wednesday night.

Ethan Stair added 11 points, six rebounds, and four assists and Demetre Rivers finished with 10 points for Mercer (7-1), which has won four straight games and seven of eight to start the year.

The Bears held Hiwassee to just 32.8% shooting from the field and 4 of 21 from the 3-point line. Mercer also won the rebounding battle 53-26 and held a 22-10 advantage in team assists.

Mercer scored 12 of the last 18 points of the first half to lead 38-26. The Bears continued to push in the second, going on a 20-0 run midway through the half to build a 33 point lead (76-43).

Jacob Elliot had 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Tigers. Tevin Henry added 10 points.
