Kevin White scored 16 points and Maryland-Eastern Shore made all six of its free throw attempts in overtime in a 68-66 win over Howard on Saturday.

Tim Burns added 15 points, including four free throws in overtime, and Lyvann Obame Obame had 14 points for the Hawks (10-19, 8-7 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference). It is the first time the Hawks' have had at least 10 wins in a season since 2001-02.

The Hawks' final six points of the game came at the free throw line, where Burns was 4 of 4 in the final 30 seconds. A layup by Obame Obame with 3:24 left in overtime gave the Hawks the lead for good at 60-59.

Burns missed a chance to win the game in regulation, making 1 of 2 free throws with 14 seconds remaining to tie the game 58-58.

Calvin Thompson scored 17 points, Dadrian Collins had 13 and Paul Kirkpatrick 12 for the Bison (7-23, 6-9), who lost their fourth straight.
