McCall, Archie help IUPUI hold off Milwaukee 70-68

MILWAUKEE, Wisc. (AP) D.J. McCall scored 10 second-half points, including a 3-pointer with 29 seconds left, and Mason Archie II hit five late free throws to lead IUPUI to a 70-68 win over Milwaukee on Wednesday night.

McCall's late 3 capped an 11-2 run and gave IUPUI (1-2) a 65-59 lead.

Steve McWhorter answered with a 3-pointer of his own to make it 65-62 just 6 seconds later.

Milwaukee immediately fouled and Archie hit the first of two free throws before Lyle made a layup, pulling the Panthers within two.

Milwaukee fouled again and Archie made both free throws, putting IUPUI up 68-64.

McWhorter hit another 3 with 7 seconds left before Archie, once again, hit both free throws.

This time IUPUI fouled and McWhorter made the first but missed the second, although Milwaukee got the ball out of bounds. However, Khufu Najee's steal sealed the win.

IUPUI trailed by as many as 13 and took its first lead with 4:44 remaining.
